Philipp “Santé” Maier has a wide range of skills: A truly unique producer in his own right, as well as an integral part of the Tiefschwarz team. There is little need to mention his recent creations which have graced the Souvenir imprint…including “White,” “Dambalaa,” and “B,” each fresher than the last, and harboring the elements belonging to the essential flavors of the Souvenir catalog. Together with Ali and Basti, he has also been a part of the Tiefschwarz production powerhouse, working on both the “Chocolate,” and “More Chocolate” releases…As well as the highly anticipated live show – a pure example of what Electronic Music in 2010 should sound like. Philipp also knows how to play a good double. For Souvenir +06, he pairs up with two of his closest friends, Adam Port & ONNO and serves us two brand new aces perfectly fitted for the tech-house courts. Recently hailed for their “Own EP” as well as Timo Maas`s new imprint Rocket & Ponies, Adam Port & Santé have in common an exhaustive expertise in pure groove. With “Anyway”, the duo strikes with a classic 4/4 beat, moves on with the return of housey-vocoded voices, and smashes with a unmerciful hook. Philipp’s skills can also be found as a guest remixer of the recent Souvenir release by ONNO, “Bombay Palace,” featuring their shared love for percussions. And indeed, driven by some unstoppable bongos, barely recognizable vocals, and cartoon-ish sound effects, “Vanessa” proves itself very useful for helping the crowd to improve its footwork.
