British tech-house master Mark Henning is back on Clink with an exciting collection of deep and funky tracks, perfect for Spring and Summer. This new series of artful tech-house encompasses our love for immersive and psychedelic music, and stays true to the fast developing sound of our imprint.
The EP kicks off with the title track ‘Supersonic’ and presents all of the right elements that we love in trippy tunes: aquatic bass, transparent atmospherics, and an orbiting vocal to boot. The next two pieces, titled ‘Cracker’ and ‘Baby Chow’, feed us groovy tech-house on a spoon, immersing listeners with cadences layered perfectly between funk and melody. Mark then rounds things up with a dance floor hit titled ‘Sweet Atom’, eloquently focusing on an energetic bass line that echoes amidst hypnotic percussion and waves of shakers. It doesn’t get much funkier than this.
Henning has been refining his sound this year with some new analogue additions to his studio, and has brought some fresh and exciting ideas to the table with this EP. Mark’s success on the charts this last year leaves us with little more to say, and we are proud to present this release as Clink 019.
